Ardrox 1618

Ardrox 1618 is a powerful cleaning agent made of surfactants, sequestrants, and caustic alkali. It effectively cleans heavily contaminated ferrous engine parts like valves and cylinder heads, removing carbon, paint, rust, and lead deposits. Ardrox 1618 also decarbonizes rubber molds and other components. It poses minimal corrosion risk to ferrous metals when used correctly but should not be used on aluminum, zinc, or tin, as it rapidly corrodes these metals. While cadmium, copper, and their alloys are slowly affected, polythene, PVC, and PTFE remain largely unaffected. Note that Ardrox 1618 may degrade many plastics and paints, and it can etch glass and ceramic surfaces.
