Momentive RTV 157 and RTV 159 are high-strength silicone rubber adhesive sealants, available in various sizes. Upon exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature, they cure into tough, resilient silicone rubber. Additionally, RTV 159 offers high-temperature performance. During curing, both RTV 157 and RTV 159 release acetic acid vapors as a by-product. These paste-consistency sealants can be applied to horizontal, vertical, and overhead surfaces, providing high strength and temperature resistance. However, due to their moisture cure system, they should not be used in thicknesses greater than 6mm (1/4 in.).
