Ardrox 3966 serves as a water-displacing solution for temporary corrosion prevention. Comprising a blend of surfactants, corrosion inhibitors, and mineral oils, Ardrox 3966 exhibits excellent spreading and penetrating characteristics. It includes a volatile solvent, which, upon evaporation, leaves behind a thin oil film. This film displaces water from the surface, offering temporary protection to the metal. Application of Ardrox 3966 can be carried out using conventional methods such as brushing, dipping, spraying, or swabbing. For dipping, tanks should be designed with a sloping or conical bottom to facilitate the runoff of accumulated water during use. Immersion times typically range from 2 to 3 minutes, not exceeding 5 minutes. Agitation during dipping processes should be avoided to prevent emulsification of displaced water.

Ardrox 3705 is a water-based inhibitor added to rinse water tanks to prevent flash rusting of ferrous components. It protects ferrous parts in indoor storage for about eight weeks under favorable conditions. Used at 1 to 4% volume/volume in water (equivalent to 10 to 40 liters per 1000 liters of washing solution), Ardrox 3705 operates effectively at temperatures from ambient to 90°C. Components are submerged in the solution for up to two minutes before air-drying.

Ardrox 3140 is a dark brown, viscous liquid formulated with film-forming agents, antioxidants, and corrosion inhibitors in a refined hydrocarbon solvent base. It offers long-term protection for materials, sub-assemblies, and finished components stored or used in corrosive environments, especially in high humidity or tropical climates. While not resistant to severe mechanical abrasion, fully cured coatings withstand normal handling. It’s ideal for protecting structural sections and panelled areas of transportation vehicles, preferably as part of a water removal and protection process, starting with Ardrox 3961 or 3962, followed by Ardrox 3140 application for extended protection.

Ardrox 311 is a viscous mineral oil fortified with corrosion and oxidation inhibitors, offering long-term protection for metal components, especially in high humidity environments. It’s ideal for preserving machine guns, small arms, internal combustion engines, bearings, and various metal parts across a temperature range starting from -18°C. This oil shows excellent resistance to oxidation at high temperatures, even in the presence of copper, suitable for machinery operating under heat stress. However, it’s not recommended for outdoor exposure in heavy rain; for such conditions, Ardrox 3140 is preferable. You can apply Ardrox 311 using methods like dipping, flushing, spraying, or brushing. Ensure surfaces are clean and dry before application to maximize corrosion protection.

Ardrox AV 100D is a heavy-duty, thixotropic compound formulated to prevent corrosion in demanding airframe environments. It works effectively on both painted and unpainted surfaces and can be applied over Ardrox AV8, a penetrating water-displacing corrosion inhibiting compound (CIC). You can apply Ardrox AV100D using rolling, brushing, or spraying methods, with airless application equipment preferred for best results. Ensure the coating is applied with a wet thickness ranging from 120 to 300 µm (4.7 to 12 mils) for optimal protection.

Ardrox AV30 is a protective coating designed for metals in airframe structures and aerospace components, preventing corrosion. It works on both painted and unpainted surfaces, providing effective corrosion inhibition with minimal film weight due to its excellent penetration and inhibiting properties. You can apply Ardrox AV30 by dipping, brushing, or spraying. For maximum penetration and corrosion protection, spray application is recommended.

Ardrox AV8 protects metals in airframe structures and aerospace components from corrosion. It works on both painted and unpainted surfaces throughout the airframe, offering effective corrosion inhibition with minimal coating thickness. You can apply Ardrox AV8 by dipping, brushing, or spraying. For best results in terms of penetration and corrosion protection, spray application is preferred, although brushing or dipping methods can also be suitable based on application needs.

Ardrox AV25 is suitable for application across all sections of the airframe, whether on painted or unpainted surfaces. Specifically engineered for applications necessitating a soft, lubricating film, it finds utility in areas like pulleys, control cables, and other moving parts. Application methods for Ardrox AV 25 include dipping, brushing, or spraying. While spray application is optimal for maximum penetration and effective corrosion inhibition, brush application can be suitable for specific areas or components.

Ardrox AV15 is suitable for application across all sections of the airframe, whether on painted or unpainted surfaces. Its notable attributes include excellent penetration capabilities and superb corrosion inhibiting properties, even when applied thinly. Application methods for Ardrox AV15 include dipping, brushing, or spraying. Optimal penetration and corrosion protection are achieved through spray application. Ideally, the coating thickness should range between 30 to 50 µm (1.2 – 2.0 mils) when wet. It’s essential to mask movable parts before treatment. In cases where precise spray control or masking of movable components is impractical, consider using an alternative soft waxy film corrosion inhibiting compound, such as Ardrox AV25.
