For dipping, tanks should be designed with a sloping or conical bottom to facilitate the runoff of accumulated water during use. Immersion times typically range from 2 to 3 minutes, not exceeding 5 minutes. Agitation during dipping processes should be avoided to prevent emulsification of displaced water.

    Ardrox 3705 is a water-based inhibitor added to rinse water tanks to prevent flash rusting of ferrous components. Ensure surfaces are clean and dry before application to maximize corrosion protection.

Its notable attributes include excellent penetration capabilities and superb corrosion inhibiting properties, even when applied thinly. Application methods for Ardrox AV15 include dipping, brushing, or spraying. Optimal penetration and corrosion protection are achieved through spray application. Ideally, the coating thickness should range between 30 to 50 µm (1.2 – 2.0 mils) when wet. It’s essential to mask movable parts before treatment. In cases where precise spray control or masking of movable components is impractical, consider using an alternative soft waxy film corrosion inhibiting compound, such as Ardrox AV25.
